Jennifer Mathias
Jennifer Mathias graduated as an Occupational Therapist (OT) from LaTrobe University in 1992. Her initial experience was in the area of physical rehabilitation, prior to specialising in hand therapy. Jennifer completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Hand Therapy and Upper Limb Rehabilitation (with distinction), through Curtin University, Perth.
She was granted a scholarship towards further study within the area of hand therapy. Jennifer is an accredited OT and a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
She has trained graduate and postgraduate OTs and Hand Therapists, and also lectured to General Practitioners. She has undertaken research in the treatment of joint contractures and has been involved in a drug trial for the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture. In addition, Jennifer has published papers in medical journals. |

Colleen Moloney
Colleen Moloney graduated as an OT from LaTrobe University in 1994. Colleen has clinical expertise in the area of acute trauma and burns rehabilitation and has specialised in the area of hand therapy. She has studied hand therapy and upper limb rehabilitation at a post graduate level and has also been involved in training graduate OTs in the areas of burns and hand rehabilitation.
Colleen is an associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, and a full member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists. In addition, Colleen is a qualified registered General Nurse and has extensive nursing experience in both the public and private sector. |
Nick Antoniou
Nick Antoniou graduated as an Occupational Therapist (OT) from LaTrobe University in 1998 and has predominantly specialised in the area of hand therapy. He has worked both locally and abroad, and spent several years in the UK working in a number of leading hospitals within the National Health Service where he played an instrumental role in the development of progressive therapist led hand clinics. These clinics involved the triage, diagnosis and management of patients with a range of common hand injuries and conditions.
Nick has studied at a postgraduate level and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Therapy from the University of Derby in the UK. He has also been involved in training undergraduate and graduate therapists in the area of hand rehabilitation and participated in a range of education sessions to General Practitioners and Physicians. He is a member of OT Australia and a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. |
Kate Crump
Kate graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Melbourne in 1998 and practiced as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for several years in Melbourne, Bendigo and the UK, prior to specialising as a hand therapist.
Since then Kate has worked in private practice for 5 years as well as being a senior therapist with the Ansell Hand Therapy Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital for 3 years. She is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and was the Victorian Divisional representative for the AHTA in 2007-2008. |
Emmeline Fooks
Emmeline graduated as an Occupational Therapist from LaTrobe University in 1998. Nine of her postgraduate years have been working as a Hand Therapist, in both the public and private sector.
Emmeline has specialist experience in burns and scar management, gained from her five years spent as a member of The Alfred Hospital burns unit. She has studied at a postgraduate level, and has presented to undergraduate and postgraduate students on burns and hand rehabilitation. She has also presented at national conferences and at LaTrobe University. She is a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and an associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

Jess Medland
Jess Medland graduated as an OT from LaTrobe University in 2009. Jess has volunteered in Kenya, providing hand therapy to children undergoing corrective plastic surgery and teaching local health professionals. She continues to provide ongoing support to the program. Jess now specialises in hand therapy and autism spectrum disorder. She has a particular interest in helping children with hand writing and fine motor activities. She is a member of OT Australia and an associate member of the AHTA. |
