Home / Therapists / Jessica Goodale
Beginning her hand therapy experience in a public hospital, Jess developed a passion for working with patients who sustained hand trauma at work, sports or in the unfortunate accidents of daily life. She enjoys the ability to support patients through their journey from injury to recovery and to facilitate each individual back to their valued occupations.
Whilst living overseas, Jess had the opportunity to work within the largest hand therapy department in the UK/Europe. There she advanced her skills working with patients with diverse and highly complex hand/upper limb injuries. She was also able to work under the direction of highly experienced surgeons and therapists, as well as provide guidance to junior therapists/students.
Prior to completing her Master of Occupational Therapy degree, Jess completed a Sports Science degree and has maintained this passion for sports in her care for patients who are keen to get back in the game.
Jess understands the significant impact hand injuries can have on an individual’s life and prides herself on her kind and caring nature when supporting patients through their rehabilitation. She works collaboratively with patients to identify their short and long term goals and provide guidance on appropriate return to activity.
