The Role
We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to assist with the management of core business operations, including finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency of business practices within MHT.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the financial and operations functions of MHT
- Run weekly TAC debts report for total company and follow up outstanding invoices investigating what is required for payment to be approved
- Reconciliation of Box Hill petty cash
- Monthly reconciliation of outside rooms cash takings and deposit cash
- Answer any invoice queries from reception staff
- Completion of funds transfer request form if a patient is to be refunded
- Completion/signing of 3rd party payer agreements, providing Insurance, bank details as requested
- Fortnightly completion of admin hours spreadsheet and adding roster to found u for any admin hours earned
- Approve fortnightly payroll hours, ensuring agrees to contracted hours
- Settlement adjustments spreadsheets
- Provision of annual forecasting / budgets
- High level control of all MHT debtors and assistance with processes
- Reception cover when required
- Assistance with other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the company, such as filling in on reception as required.

- Ensure effective lines of communication are maintained to ensure optimal management of the business
- Assist in driving culture of accountability and ownership

- Awareness of and compliance with discrimination, harassment and bullying policies and procedures
4. Safe Environment
- Promote a working environment supporting OH&S
- Be aware of the safety emergency procedures within the setting in which you are working
- Completion of accurate incident reports if required
- Identify, minimize and report hazards, near misses and injuries immediately
- Adhere to OH&S principles and standard precaution
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting / bookkeeping / business administration / finance.
- Minimum 5 years of financial control experience
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of computer-based spreadsheets and reporting (proficient in Microsoft excel)
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Must have managerial skills and be able to function in a supervisory role
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks
- Must have excellent accounting skills, strong organization and communication skills
- Able to function in a leadership role
- Has previously worked in a similar or more senior role
- Settlement adjustments spreadsheets received by Healthia
