Shoulder

What is it?

The shoulder is a complex joint that requires a high level of stability whilst enabling a wide range of motion. Instability of the shoulder is an inability to maintain the humeral head in the glenoid fossa and can be single or multidirectional in nature. It can occur due to damage of the supporting ligaments of the shoulder, genetic predisposition or may follow a traumatic injury.

Symptoms

There can be instability or weakness around the shoulder or an experience of repeated subluxations (popping out and back in again) or dislocations (popping out and staying out).

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, book an appointment.
